Our Beliefs

We believe in one God-the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

We believe that the Old and New Testament Scriptures is God’s word to us and contain all truth necessary to faith and Christian living.

We believe that people are made in the image of God.  All of us are marred by an attitude of disobedience toward God called sin. Sin separates people from God.

We believe that salvation is God’s free gift to us, but we must accept it.  We can never make up for our sin by self improvement or good works.  Only by trusting in Jesus Christ as God’s offer of forgiveness can anyone be saved from sin’s penalty.

We believe that the Holy Spirit bears witness to the new birth, and also to the entire sanctification of believers.

We believe that baptism is an act of obedience symbolizing (1) the believer’s faith in the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus, (2) the believer’s death to sin and resurrection to walk anew in Christ, and (3) the Christian’s belief that he will die, be buried, and that Jesus will resurrect him from the dead,

We believe that people were created to exist forever.  We will either exist eternally separated from God by sin or eternally with God through forgiveness and salvation.  To be separated from God is to exist eternally in Hell.  To be in union with Him is eternal life in Heaven.  Heaven and Hell are real places of eternal existence.

We believe that we are to love each other as Jesus instructed His disciples.  This love comes from God and is to be shared to each person we meet in life.

We believe in supporting the church financially by giving the tithe – a percentage of our first fruits as God leads us by the Holy Spirit.  The tithe is to be given to the “storehouse” ministry of a local church for the advancement of the Kingdom of God.

We believe in the rapture of the church and that our Lord will return, the dead will be raised, and the final judgment will take place.
